We have put together a detailed multi-page, dynamic PDF Pilotage Planning pro forma for charterers & skippers planning a passage.

The list was put together by me after drawing together over 22 years as a professional skipper. After purchase, you'll be emailed the PDF file. You can print it off as many times as you like, or even laminate it, if that's your thing!

You can also fill them in from your phone or laptop, as they are dynamic forms. We have also included this option on long text fields if you wish to use the entire form electronically, but you can also print off the empty template and fill it in by hand, if preferred.

We also offer downloads for our PDF pro formas covering Passage Planning & Pre-Departure & Engine Checks.

    Very helpful!

I bought all the PDFs before my RYA Day Skipper practical course. The Pilotage pdf especially helped me when I was handed the task to work out the pilotage into a harbour which was unknown to me. I passed the test with help from this + the ”harbour calendar”. Besides the ”rolling road” pages, there could be a blank page or two on here where you can draw the chart and the course into the harbour yourself. Doing that helped me as well.

Thanks for the review, David. Congrats on the Day Skipper pass. I'll look at adding space for an illustrative drawing.

    Just Brilliant!

A really excellent PDF. I use it on my phone as a template for pilotage plans into ports I don't know. It helps me remember everything important and stay organised! Make sure to copy the first clean file and keep it as a template.
